Tresco Abbey Garden

We went to Tresco Abbey Garden from the 2nd to 12th of February.

It was planned for February 1st, but because of the storm that came our flight was cancelled…

We rode on a small plane from Land End airport to Mary Island. It can carry only 8 people!! And we rode a small jet boat to Tresco Island.

At Tresco, Jon picked us up and went to Tresco Abbey Garden. He is a gardener and was a Longwood Gardens student!

Tresco Abbey Garden was so beautiful.

There were a lot of tropical plants from New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and so on.

I saw many kind of Protea. I had liked Protea.

It protects the red squirrels at Tresco Island. So cute!

We did plant identification twice. I could answer the Euryops! But I couldn’t answer any more…

A storm came again! We went to see big waves.

Near the sea I couldn’t stand and walk, it was heavy wind!

After the storm, many trees fell over. So we picked up branches and raked up leaves again and again.
