We have a Student Activity every Thursday.
September 10th, we had a Chrysanthemum tour.
Yoko-san taught us about mums and grafting.
September 17th, we went to Morris Arboretum and Bartram’s Garden.
At Morris, there is perhaps the largest Katsura tree in North America and designated as the Arboretum’s top tree by staff and visitors. It was planted in the early 1900s as part of a Japanese garden.
Bartram’s Garden is the oldest surviving botanic garden in North America.
September 24th, we cleaned up the row.
October 1st, we were judging plants at the Unionville Community Fair. I was judging farm crops.
October 8th, we learned about Waterlilies. It was great fun walking in the waterlily pool.
I’m impatient for the next Student Activity!!
